Welcome 2017Taylor Levic, JCPH

This website has been changed! Go to Studyaway.Jefferson.edu
as of November 1, 2021

Note: The application process is reopening for spring and summer 2022 in the hope that travel will restart. Final decisions about travel support will be made during the spring semester 2022. Please be safe.

We urge all faculty, staff and students to access the CDC links provided on Jefferson.edu/Coronavirus to ensure you have the latest information about the virus and about travel alerts.

The Jefferson StudyAway Website offers information on opportunities for study outside the U.S. to our students and employees. Details to help plan a study abroad experience, including tips on planning and financing a trip as well as health and safety tips, are listed. Foerderer Award for International Study applicants can also apply for the award by completing the application forms through the new site studyaway.jefferson.edu (Look for the "Scholarships" tab). Faculty mentor recommendation can also be done electronically.

To look up programs, click on "Programs" on the left-hand side menu. To apply for the Foerderer Award, click on the "Apply Now" button located at the top of each program brochure. If your program is not on the list, please click on the "Apply Here" button under "Programs" on the left-hand side menu. Please note that it is not mandatory to apply for the Foerderer Award. Students must apply for admission into their chosen program through the specific program's website. Links to websites, as well as Jefferson student reports, can be found on the program brochures.

The application for spring 2022 travel will open in November 2021 in the event that travel is once again open. The application deadline is December 10, 2021. Go to studyaway.jefferson.edu to apply.

It is highly recommended that all potential applicants review the Application Process before opening an application.

If you are interested in a study abroad experience, please take the time to choose one that fits your temperament, needs, and future in health care.
